Effective June 1, 2015, Volvo launched the Customer Lifetime Parts & Labor Warranty. This warranty is available to any retail customer who purchases an eligible part and has it installed by an authorized Volvo retailer. Pay for a repair once—and never pay for it again.
This warranty does not cover accessories, wear items, or consumables. Please see the list below for examples of parts excluded from the Volvo Lifetime Parts & Labor Warranty (Note: this list is not all-inclusive): • 12V batteries, High Voltage (HV) batteries, Keyless entry batteries, Timing belts, Filters, Belts, Brake pads, Rotors (excluding runout), Wiper blades, Spark plugs, Clutch linings, Floor mats, Upholstery/carpets, Tires (please refer to the tire manufacturer’s warranty)
The Customer Lifetime Parts & Labor Warranty does not apply to third-party purchasers such as independent repair facilities, body shops, or to parts purchased over the counter and not installed by an authorized Volvo retailer. These parts are covered by a two-year parts-only warranty from the purchase date. Labor is not included. Part failures due to installation errors are not covered under any Volvo parts warranty.
Note: This warranty is non-transferable. Coverage applies only to the original purchaser of the part. Proof of prior purchase and installation at an authorized Volvo retailer is required for warranty eligibility.
This warranty does not cover parts replaced under your Volvo New Car Warranty, Certified Pre-Owned Warranty, or VIP Warranty. For repairs completed under these programs, coverage applies for the remaining warranty balance or 90 days, whichever is greater.
Volvo Car Canada Ltd. warrants that any new Volvo Genuine Replacement Part (excluding accessories and consumables as noted above), when installed by an authorized Volvo retailer, will be free from defects in material or workmanship.
There is no coverage for parts requiring replacement due to external influence, including misuse, accident, or environmental conditions.
